Joalah Holiday Park

For lovers of nature, the environment, the great outdoors and unspoiled beaches with a peaceful and safe family holiday environment on the NSW South Coast. Make fascinating discoveries while hiking or bushwalking in the Murramarang National Park or while strolling along the secluded Durras Beach.

Hear the sounds of silence interrupted only by bird calls and waves gently lapping on the beach. Joalah Holiday Park is a beautiful place to just sit and relax while looking out over the water or to enjoy one of the many activities that the area has to offer. Within Joalah Holiday Park native kangaroos are regular visitors, grazing without concern for the Park's occupants.

On arrival you will be greeted by the local birdlife, predominantly consisting of the friendly rosellas, the inquisitive king parrots and the very social lorikeets. At night these will be replaced by the possums and timid bandicoots venturing in from the forest in search of a meal.

The modern waterfront cabin accommodation overlooks the beautiful Durras Beach and the pristine Durras Lake at the point where the lake runs into the sea. The beach is easily accessible and the wide sandbanks and shallow water makes this a safe, secluded and peaceful environment for families.

The quiet of the National Park is beautiful. There are many bushwalks through the abundant gum and rain forests.

Durras Lake is clean and offers a good breeding ground for many species of fish. The beach also fishes well.

Go for a lazy day on the beach. Enjoy the sun and the refreshing surf or splashing in the lake.

Spend some time canoeing on Durras Lake and take in the abundant activity both under and above the water.

If you are just looking for something different to do Joalah Holiday Park has a modern tennis court.

Birdwatchers can enjoy an enormous variety of bird species, some of which are very rare.
